The new Wii is coming! Care to test it?

As you probably know, Nintendo has officially announced that they’ll be revealing the successor of the world success that is the Wii at E3 this year.

Of course that with the third parties already having the developer kits early on to start working on games for the system, they need to hire some extra testers for those games.

Video game tester jobs are opening every day as new games become more and more complex and need extra layers of testing to make sure they are working completely flawlessly. Of course that with the success of the Wii, a lot of developers will start to make games for the WiiU early on. This gives you an edge because if you want to become a video game tester this is probably the right time to do so.

If you’re like me, then you’d love to get paid to play video games. I’m sure that playing video games and getting paid for it is truly the dream job you wanted to have and it’s possible right now.

Just the other day I was browsing my two lists of new game testing job openings and I was surprised at how easy it is to get new jobs. There are numerous video game tester jobs opened right now, seeking for the right testers to take them. And one of those testers could be you, actually.

The 3DS and NGP are coming… How about testing them?

If you’re an avid gamer, then you probably know all about the next portable consoles: the 3DS and the NGP. And if you’re like me, then you probable were staring with amazement at those announcements, knowing that you would still need to wait months before you could get your hands on either of them.

But as you may have figured out, both of those systems need to be tested by gamers much like yourself. This is where testing companies come into play. Hundreds of people are testing these systems, looking for flaws on both the system itself (how often do you read that those designs are just tentative? It’s because the people testing the systems may suggests some changes to them) and the newly developed games for those.

Now I’m going to ask you a very simple question: How would YOU like to start testing these systems by yourself? Yeah, it would be awesome, right? But it’s not as easy as one could think of. You need to get inside a company that provides all those testing jobs. So check our full Only4Gamers Review to find out why it’s simply the best video game testing company out there.

Only4Gamers Review

First of all, if you’re not serious about becoming a video game tester you should leave. Now.

You’re still here? Great. Because before reviewing this program you need to know that it’s not as easy to get into the game testing position as some people advertise it to be. But the truth is, once you get in, and if you love video games then you’ll have a job for a long time and could be making $30 per hour. Yes, while you’re playing games.

The fact of the matter is that if you’re trying to find video game tester job openings all by yourself you’ll be wasting your time. Companies rely on certain companies to find their testers which is why unless you have the luck of getting a job the first time you’ve tried you need to join an intermediate company to help you.

One of those companies goes by the name of Only4Gamers. But what makes it a better company when you need to know how to become a video game tester? The answer is simple: they have access to a lot of neat information about the company, what they need, and all the video game testing job openings you can think of.

Well, it did look too good to be true, but I eventually I managed to convince him. Where he is now, you may ask? Working with none other than Naughty Dog, testing Uncharted 3. That’s right, he went from an unemployed game lover to working with one of the best companies right now. And whether your dream is to work with Naughty Dog, Nintendo, Valve, Bungie or any other you need to do more than just dream. You need to take action.

Video Game Testing Job Openings

Have you ever gone to a store, looking at all those video games and wanting to try them? Better yet, have you ever looked at those games and wondering: what if I was a part of that? What if I was one of the testers of that game?
While this is just a dream for many people, there are a select few where this dream has come true and are working closely with video game companies and working on improving their products, testing unreleased games, giving suggestions, making that game theirs.
But looking for video game testing job openings is more than just opening up the newspaper and setting up a job interview. You need to know what you’re doing. These companies are extremely demanding when it comes to video game tester. That is why even if you do manage to set an interview for a video game tester job you’ll most likely be lost in the shuffle with all the other people trying to get that job.

The thing is: those people may actually have been trained to find those jobs and know how to handle them. Just like any other job interview, you’ll need to tell them why you want that job, what they can expect from you as an employee and if you don’t know beforehand what they’re looking after, I’m afraid it’s going to be terribly hard to find a job as a video game tester.
You need to know how to become a video game tester and if that is your dream then you need to go out there and fight for it.

Is becoming a video game tester the job for you?

Looking for this page means that you likely enjoy gaming, so the first requirement is already set, but you need to think about becoming a game tester as a real job and not something you do just for fun. Or course that if you enjoy gaming you will have fun (imagine playing all the great games before everyone else) but you need to understand that there are deadlines and you need to know how to communicate.

I’m not trying to stop you here, but it’s a hard business. Not everyone will succeed. It takes a lot of time and effort before you can use this to make a living, but it’s very well possible and highly paid.
